Getting Started
1. The very first thing to do, after starting the program, is to right-click the moving eyes in the lower right-hand of the screen, next to the clock.

2. Select Preferences. If you haven't already done so, put in your eBay username, password, and retype your password so it can be verified it was typed right. This is needed so the program can sign in and bid on auctions for you.

3. Next, double left-click, or right-click and select Manage Snipes from the menu in step 1, and a window appears. To add an auction, click on Add and put in the item number, desired max bid on the item, and quantity, if it applies. If it's a regular bidding auction, non-dutch, then you want a quantity of 1. The program looks up all the rest of the information itself, and will add it to the list of snipes.

4. This next part is VERY IMPORTANT. PRESS THE APPLY & EXIT BUTTON to save the information, and reload the program with the new snipe information. To verify you've done this right, you can bring back up the Manage Snipes window. If it appears, you've done it right.

Bringing up the SuperSniperPRO menu
In the lower right-hand corner of the screen is a little section of the bottom bar called the System Tray. This is where you'll see your WindowsTM clock. When SuperSniperPRO is running, you'll see a pair of eyes looking around. This is the picture for SuperSniperPRO.

If you place the mouse over the eyes, and click the right mouse button, a menu will come up. Just move the mouse to selection your option and click the left mouse button to select that option.

Adding an auction to snipe
The first step to adding a snipe is to start up the program, and bring up the Manage Snipes window. You can do this by either double left-clicking the mouse on the moving eyes near the clock in the lower right-hand corner of the screen, or right-click to bring up the menu, and choose Manage Snipes.

Next, Click the button that says Add on it, and another window pops up. Only 2-3 pieces of information needed to be put in. No more copying and pasting ending dates, etc, from another window. Not even figuring out when to snipe the bid, etc. ALL OF THAT IS AUTOMATED. Just put in the auction number, maximum bid you're willing to pay, and change the quantity from one if it's a fixed-item or dutch auction.

The program will tell you if the bid is not high enough, the auction has ended, etc. It has very sophisticated error checking. If everything goes ok, you'll see the item added to your Managed Snipes. You can go see that item by double left-clicking on the item in the list. If everything is ok, click Apply and Exit and the snipe changes will take effect.

That's it, it's really simple, as specifically what I aimed for.

>Edit an existing snipe

3. Here you can change your bid or quantity. The rest of the information is regathered from the auction again, and verified. If everything is ok, you'll be back in the Manage Snipes window with the new auction information displayed. Important: Click the Apply & Exit button, and the changes will now take effect. Otherwise, the old auction information still resides in the bid sniper..

Changing when an auction is sniped
1. Changing how long the program snipes an auction before the auction end is actually very simple.

Just right-click on the moving eyes, and select Preferences item. Click here to see how to bring up the menu. A new windows named Preferences pops up.

2. The second item down, the one that says How long before end of auction to snipe: is the one you want to change. Just select a new value from the drop-down list, and then hit the Apply button for the changes to take effect.

Testing your eBay Login Settings
1. Testing your eBay login can be simple as pie, or complex if there's a problem. Luckily, the solution is usually pretty easy.

Just right-click on the moving eyes, and select Preferences item. Click here to see how to bring up the menu. A new windows named Preferences pops up.

2. In the User Login Information section, this is where you eBay username/password to go.
Super Sniper PRO signs in just as if it was you signing in manually on the webpage.
After you put in your eBay username/password, and retype the password a second type to be sure you typed it right, hit the Test Login Information button.

3. Within a couple of seconds or so, you'll see one of three results:
    1. Successfully signed in.
    2. Failed to sign in.
    3. Failed to establish connection with eBay

1. means that you eBay login is correct. You can now hit the Apply button to save your login information.

2. means that there's a problem with your signin. Quite often, it's just a bad password, or a typo. If this is the problem, please goto on to number 4, the next paragraph.

3. means that there's a network connection problem. Either there's no network connection, an ethernet cable failed, something along those lines. Possibly even an internet router, or even possible is that a few times a week, a router next to eBay has problems and you can't reach eBay for an hour or two.

4. This is for people with a problem with a "Failed to sign in" error. If there's a network problem, you can email me and I will do my best to help you through it.

There are basically 3 possible ways to get a failed sign in on the test login information.
    1. Wrong password.
    2. Typo in username/password
    3. New security measure eBayTM has put into effect as of mid May, 2004. This one rarely happens, but it can.

The easiest way to test this is to goto http://www.ebay.com , and make sure you are signed out of eBay, and close the page. Then goto the sign in page, and put in your username/password that you just put in the Super Sniper PRO eBay login information section.

If you sign in fine, then chances are it's just a typo that's the problem. Sometimes you can kick off the new security measures, however, and only fail every other login, as we've seen in testing.

If it comes back with a "Your sign-in information is not valid. Please try again." message, then either there's a typo, or a wrong password, or the new security measure kicking in. On the left, I have put a picture of what a failed login due to the new security procedure looks like. You have to enter the numbers you see in the box to verify it's a human logging in. This is because computer programs were apparantly regularly hacking accounts, and they were doing well at it. I had this kick in, and I waited around 20 hours, and the logins worked fine then. It seems it's a time-sensitive security procedure.

If it fails, but you do not see the picture with the numbers in it, then you just have either typed the name or password wrong. Once you solve this, you will solve your eBay login problem, then put the resulting name/password in the User Login Information section of the Preferences screen of Super Sniper PRO, and it should work fine then. If not, please email and I will do my best to help you out.
